The Home Health Aide (HHA) provides essential non-medical in-home care services focused on the comfort, safety, and general supervision of patients. This role includes offering companionship and minimal guidance to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly environment. The HHA assists with light household tasks and supports daily living activities to help patients maintain independence in their homes. Additionally, the aide monitors the patient’s condition and reports any concerns to the care team, always respecting the dignity and privacy of those in their care.
- Provide compassionate, non-medical care and support to patients in their homes.
- Assist with general supervision to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Offer companionship and engage patients in socialization activities to promote emotional well-being.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through light housekeeping tasks.
- Support patients with daily living activities as needed, including meal preparation, errands, and medication reminders (non-administrative).
- Monitor and report any changes in the patient’s condition or environment to the supervising nurse or care coordinator.
High school diploma or GED preferred. Must demonstrate satisfactory completions of any stated mandated training. Applicants must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal Background Check, motor vehicle driving record, credit history, professional and personal reference checks, and give permission to submit to random drug and alcohol testing. Must have reliable transportation and fulfill assignments with reliability and punctuality
